2026-01 — OGC Presentation on Standards in GEOINT
In January 2026, OGC together with OSGeo and the Apache Foundation conducted a code sprint at Ft Collins, USA. The SkyFed project leader and OGC/ISO datacube standards architect, Prof. Peter Baumann, gave a talk on "OGC/ISO Coverage / Datacube Standards in a GEOINT Context" (Youtube recording) which found much attention and led to a lively exchange.

2025-11 — Edge Federation @ Space Tech Expo
Space Tech Expo is the premier gathering for space engineering and technology in Europe. This November, over 10,000 professionals from across the space supply chain gathered in Bremen for driving the next wave of innovation. The SkyFed consortium demonstrated a federation of 64 Raspberry Pie single-board computers, the largest Raspberry cluster ever built, with the CoperniCUBE datacube service and the aviation weather service established in NATO SPS Cube4EnvSec. The expert audience were deeply impressed, and lots of discussions were done with agencies, companies, researchers, and students.
